Photographer Sues 2baba & Wife, Annie Idibia For N120m

A photographer, Mr. Emmanuel Okolo, has filed a N120m copyright infringement suit against musician Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2face now ‘2baba’, and wife, Annie.

The photographer sued the couple and one Mr. Anthonio Anifite before Justice Mohammed Idris of a Federal High Court in Lagos.

He alleged that the defendants made use of some photographs he took at the traditional wedding of Mr. and Mrs. Idibia in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State in 2013 without duly attributing the works to him or acknowledging him contrary to an alleged agreement.

The photographer, who sued alongside his company, Papilonmexy Films Studios Limited, claimed that the defendants wrote ‘2faceonline.com’ across 148 out of the 355 high-resolution photographs he took at the couple’s wedding and uploaded them on 2face’s official website, thereby denying him credit and referral opportunities.

He claimed that days after the wedding, Annie called him on the telephone requesting copies of the wedding photographs and that upon sending them to her, Annie complained about the watermark of Papilomenxy studios reflecting on them.

According to the photographer, Annie later sent the 2nd defendant to negotiate with the photographer on the terms that the photographs should be released without watermarks.

The photographer claimed to have then released 355 high-resolution photographs from the wedding to Anifite free of charge on the agreement that whenever and wherever they were used, the copyright would be credited to his company.

He, however, claimed that the defendants breached the terms of the signed agreement and went ahead to write ‘2faceonline.com’ across 148 of the photographs that they uploaded on 2face’s official website.

The photographer, who described himself as “a certified film maker from the prestigious London Film Academy” and an holder of a Masters of Arts degree from Cardiff School of Creative and Cultural Industries, South Wales, United Kingdom, claimed to have suffered general and exemplary damages for which he is seeking N120m compensation from 2face, Annie and Anifite.

But the defendants have not only urged Justice Idris to dismiss the photographer’s suit but they also filed a counterclaim wherein they demanded N150m damages from him and his studio.

They claimed that the photographer crashed into the venue of their traditional wedding, took pictures and circulated same for commercial gains without their permission.

They claimed that he was not invited but was just “one of the numerous photographers and pseudo-professionals and artisans, who invaded the venue of the ceremonies to eke out a living for themselves without prior consultation with or the consent of the celebrants.”

They claimed that soon after their wedding, they noticed some strange versions of their wedding pictures circulating online with Papilonmexy studio watermark and after painstaking findings, they traced them to the photographer.

They claimed that upon locating the photographer and expressing their displeasure, he pleaded with them while lamenting that he was hard hit by a downturn in the still photography business and sought any future engagement with them.

They claimed that the photographer forced the photographs on them, saying he wanted to leverage on their popularity to get referrals.

They, however, claimed that they told him categorically that the only condition on which they could accept the photographs was for him to remove the watermarks of his company, which he allegedly agreed to.”

NIMASA DG, Dakuku Peterside Escapes Assassination Rivers

Dr. Dakuku Peterside, has confirmed the incident, disclosing that he “narrowly escaped death this afternoon after his vehicle was attacked by gunmen in two utility vehicles on his way from the Port Harcourt International Airport.”

A statement signed by Sylvester Asoya, his Special Assistant on Media noted that
“Peterside who was in his car with Davies Ibiamu Ikanya, Rivers State All Progressives Congress, APC Chairman and Hon H.O. Asita, Deputy Governorship candidate of the APC in April 2015 election said they escaped the assassins bullets by a stroke of luck.

“Two Jeeps belonging to Emeka Woke, Nyesom Wike’s Chief of Staff carrying two unknown gunmen trailed us to UTC Junction and opened fire on my car. Our car however did a detour to the DSS office gate where we drove to seek refuge but the unknown gunmen opened fire again at the SSS men on guard.

“The exchange of fire between the DSS men and the assailants lasted for more than 30 minutes. This is a very ugly experience but I thank God that my colleagues and I escaped unhurt.

“Today’s experience is not only terrifying but also shows the parlous state of security in Rivers State. If I can be engaged openly by gunmen for nearly an hour in the heart of Port Harcourt, only God knows the fate that will befall members of our party and those sympathetic to our predicament. What is happening today in our dear state is not only horrible but also constitutes serious national security risk.”

Peterside who was Wike’s opponent in last year’s governorship election in Rivers State added that it was now evident that the governor wanted to kill him and that he was prepared to do everything possible to eliminate him.

The spirit of Pharaoh

The spirit of Pharaoh is a destiny terminator. Pharaoh was the one that gave instruction that all male children of the Israelites must die and baby Moses was going to be eliminated but for God’s intervention.

It is the spirit behind hardened enemies. Pharaoh’s heart was so hardened that the Lord had to bombard him with ten plagues, and even after the ten plagues, he still pursued the Israelites.

It is the strongman leading an evil army against the people of God. If you have dreamt of a crowd coming to fight against you, the leader of that crowd is the spirit of Pharaoh.

It represents enemies who want to re-capture us and bring us back to Egypt. By the grace of God, we have left Egypt. Whatsoever wants to grab a Christian and take him back to Egypt is the spirit of Pharaoh, and should be resisted with all the energy at his disposal.

It represents enemies that are insulting our God. You know when Moses went to Pharaoh and said, “Let my people go,” Pharaoh said, “Who is the Lord? I know not the Lord.” how ever,He knew the Lord when he got to the Red Sea. This is what will happen to your Pharaoh today, in the name of Jesus.

It represents enemies that employ sorcerers and magicians against us. They say, “Catch this person,” “spoil this marriage,” make this child dull,” “wreck this business” and so on and so forth.

It represents arrogant enemies that say, "I can do anything I want to do against you and there is nothing you can do about it.

The way out is that you have to review your past life with the help of the Holy Spirit. Review it so that your Pharaoh won’t have anything to stand upon. Have you consciously or otherwise entered into any evil covenant? Did you have sexual relationship with boyfriends or girlfriends who were possessed? Do you have a history of childhood sicknesses, and that anytime you fell ill you were taken to herbalists? Is yours like the story of a baby whom they said used to cry endlessly and so they threw her into the midst of termites for 24 hours and when they brought her out, she stopped crying, but from that time her life has been perpetually damaged? How were your parents looking after you when you were young? Have you been cursed by your parents? Have you ever gone to a diviner, a charmer, a white garment church or a herbalist, or eaten anything sacrificed unto idols? Ask yourself these questions. Carry out restitution of whatever does not belong to you but is in your possession. Anything that is not yours and you are sitting tight on it you had better release it so that Pharaoh will not continue to pursue you

Deal with the spirit of Pharaoh both in the heavenlies and in the water. Many people are working below their destiny, serving their enemies and drinking the waters of afflictions. Some have been converted to hewers of wood and drawers water. The pursuer ensures that such people do not move far with God. The foundational spirits are holding tight to so many lives. They want to work for God but the idol says, “Where are you going?” All kinds of things are asking them where they are going. They are being harassed and cheated. This is why you must pray with anger and aggression, with violence and holy madness, so that any Pharaoh in any area of your life shuold die. Your Pharaoh must die.
