At Least 24 Killed in Twin Suicide Bombings at Iraqi Market

Iraqi officials say back-to-back bombings in an outdoor market in eastern Baghdad have killed at least 24 people.

A police officer says a bomb went off Sunday afternoon in the Shiite district of Sadr City. Minutes later, a suicide bomber blew himself up amid the crowd that had gathered at the site of the first bombing, he added.

He said at least 52 other people were wounded.

A medical official confirmed the causality figures. Both officials spoke on condition of anonymity as they were not authorized to release information.

No Human Being Can Hang Daddy “Reverend King” Says His Godson

Austin King, who is the godson of the General overseer of the Christian Praying Assembly (CPA) Dr. Chukwuemeka Ezeugo (aka Rev. King), has said that it is humanly impossible to hang the condemned cleric.

Austin made this claim in an exclusive interview in Ajao Estate, Lagos, Saturday.

The claim comes as a swift reaction to the Supreme Court’s affirmation of the death sentence by hanging earlier handed down by the Lagos State High Court and affirmed by the Court of Appeal.
