Omotola receives UK award

Nollywood star, Omotola Jalade Ekeinde, has received the Ebony Vanguard Award at the just concluded Birmingham International Film Festival which held at the ICC Conference Centre.

The actress received the award for her long standing achievements in acting, in the presence of British film-makers including Ellen Thomas, Chizzy Akudolu, Rudolph Walker and Jimmy Akingbola.

Commenting on the choice of Omotola for the award, the founder of the festival, Dean Alexander, said: ”Omotola is not only one of the most influential people in the world, she is indeed one of the most inspiring. It is our pleasure to celebrate this unique personality here in the UK”.
