Female suicide bombers kill 58, Nigeria

Fifty-eight African refugees fleeing violence have been killed in a bombing in Dikwa refugee camp, Nigeria. Dikwa is about 85 kilometres north of Maiduguri, the capital of Borno state.

According to ANA, the attack happened late on Tuesday, but only made headlines late on Wednesday due to poor telecommunications.

“Officials say three female suicide bombers disguised themselves as refugees and entered the camp late on Tuesday,” reported the Voice of America (VOA).

“Two blew themselves up. The third changed her mind and surrendered to police when she discovered her parents and siblings were living there.”
