Reason's for Man's creation

God lovingly created us in His image to display His glory through our enjoyment of Him. The implications to this are that We are accountable to Him,We can trust Him,Each person has great value,We have a God-centered purpose,He intends for us to find our greatest satisfaction in Him.

God Created us for relationship:  God made people for relationship: relationship with Himself and with the rest of creation. Yet as you are painfully aware, you and I do not live in a community that perfectly reflects and brings glory to God. Our society, our families, our marriages, and even our churches are often devastated by shattered community. The first effect of the fall was a broken relationship between God and man, followed closely by fractured relationship between the first couple.

God created us for relationship, but our sin has rendered us perpetual relationship breakers.

Created to work:  Originally our work had meaning and fulfillment. As Adam and Eve tended the garden they found sweet satisfaction in serving God and each other serving God. After the fall that satisfaction gave way to exhausting toil.

Thankfully, futility is not the end of the story. Through the work of Jesus our work is renewed, once again having meaning.

Created to rest:  Connection to unit theme: It is not an accident that God rested on the seventh day. He created rest, and He created His image-bearers to desire times of rest and enjoyment. Our sin has interrupted this.

Created to rule:  God created humans to rule over creation, and so there is a creative longing within each person. We desire to build and rule over that which we create.
