A new type of insurance has been introduced on Friday by the Minister of Defence, retired Brig.-Gen. Mansur Dan-Ali, for soldiers fighting Boko Haram.
Dan-Ali made the disclosure while briefing newsmen shortly after a Special Juma’at Prayer to mark the 2016 Armed Forces Remembrance Day celebration in Abuja.
He said that although the military were being motivated by several packages which is to ensure success in their battles and that even though there were already provisions for families of the fallen heroes the death insurance would also be introduced.
This is an additional package by President Muhammadu Buhari to motivate our gallant armed forces and to take care of the families of the fallen heroes,“ he said.
