A Chinese woman died of drowning in Zhejiang River on Tuesday evening.
Only identified as Wang, 28, was seen by her husband floating in the said river the next day.
Clips from the retrieved CCTV showed that Wang was quite busy on her phone to a point that she didn’t notice that she’s walking sideways and into the edge. Then, for about a minute she struggled until no more movements was seen on the river.
Zhou Renjun, the officer in charge of the case, told a local newspaper that the river is just chest-deep, but full of thick sludge will give someone a hard time going out.
